New York Knicks

As of an hour before this writing, the New York Knicks ruled OG Anunoby out for Game 4. There was some hope that he could be active because he did travel with the team, but the thought of an extended absence becomes more realistic.

While the Knicks are the toughest team in the East remaining, they're losing bodies. Jalen Brunson is playing, but clearly hobbled.

Knicks fans and backers have to look to Donte DiVincenzo staying hot, Josh Hart staying relentless, and the two-man game between Brunson and Isaiah Hartenstein to remain devastating in clutch situations.

The spread being only 5.5 is a signal that the books have more faith in the Knicks for Game 4 then they did in Game 3, but I sense a bit of confidence has been brewed into Indiana.

Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers finally got a monkey off their back by getting a tough playoff win against the Knicks.

After feeling like Games 1 and 2 were stripped away, or lost at the fingertips (quite literally with an incorrect kick ball violation), the Pacers went down multiple possessions a few minutes into the 4th quarter, but rallied back.

Ultimately, it was Andrew Nembhard who hit an incredibly deep step back 3-pointer with no time remaining on the shot clock, and less than 30 seconds remaining in the game, to go up three and never relinquish that lead.

It felt like it gave the Pacers a great boost of confidence. Tyrese Haliburton was looking to score, T.J. McConnell was a bench spark, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner were reliable around the rim, and the wings played solid defense.

If Aaron Nesmith can stay out of foul trouble, and the Pacers continue to play with pace, I feel like the route may be on in this one. Its a mix of the Pacers' confidence and a depleted Knicks roster, colliding in Indy at the perfect time.

Knicks vs. Pacers

Betting Pick & Prediction

Two things about the betting market in this game confuse me, but ultimately make me feel great about my bet.

Despite leading for the majority of the game, Anunoby remaining out, and the Knicks making some tough shots, the Pacers are laying 1.5 less points than they were in Game 3.

This spread should be at least 7.5 in my opinion, and the reason why it's not is a combination of a myriad of Knicks backers, and live bettors.

I thought heavy action would come in on Indy, but given the good number and the tickets on New York I feel like the market laid the right number.

Pick: Pacers -5.5 (1.25u, FanDuel)
