Chelsea and PSG Forge Ahead in Pursuit of Serie A Sensation to Amp Up Attack for Next Season

Paris Saint-Germain will have the entire summer to figure out how to replace Kylian Mbappé’s goal production. Nonetheless, it seems Napoli standout Victor Osimhen, who could cost around €130million, is the candidate they have their eyes on this summer. 

Osimhen appears ready to leave the Serie A side and won’t have a shortage of suitors attempting to land him. Still, over the last few weeks, the chase for the Nigerian international seems to be between Chelsea and PSG.

CaughtOffside provided the latest in this race and reported on Thursday that both remain determined to land Osimhen as one of their priorities this summer.

PSG are on the hunt for a new forward as Kylian Mbappe prepares to depart upon the expiration of his contract, reportedly nearing a deal with Real Madrid. 

Meanwhile, Chelsea are focused on assembling a youthful team for their future plans, yet they could use some added experience. Osimhen seems like a promising option to enhance their squad, potentially replacing the inconsistent Nicolas Jackson.

This season the 25-year-old has made 31 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, scoring 17 goals and recording four assists.
